TREDWELL ‘PUZZLE’<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following information has been \nacquired by my working together with a descendant of John and Maria Tredwell.  \nWe are both convinced that there is a connection with our Tredwell lines as \nthere are too many coincidences, but we have yet to find the proof.  In \nparticular the families of John and Maria and Francis and Esther are closely \nlinked regarding the birth places of their children and it is as though they \nfollowed each other round the country. John named one of his sons Francis – \nsadly he died at birth. Both their first born were situated very closely \ntogether in Stoke Prior and Dodderhill. Francis then moves to Birmingham and \nKingswinford. Then in 1830\/31 they are within a stone`s throw of each other in \nRushton Spencer and Bosley. 1833 they are both in Bromsgrove. 1835-37 they are \nboth in Winchfield, Hants. and then 1841 in Folkestone, although John moves to \nHandsworth, Staffs for the 1841 census.  Then they are back in the \nDroitwich area – Francis having died in 1847.  In 1851 Sarah Ann (John and \nMaria`s daughter) is a visitor with Elizabeth Harding (Francis` daughter) in \nStourbridge. In 1861 widow Esther and daughter Elizabeth Harding are living \nalmost next door to Betsey Ann, Anne Maria and Sarah Ann in Witton.  \nUnfortunately I do not know where Francis was born, but John was born in Southam, \nWarks.  This has shown no further leads as yet.  If anyone can throw \nany light on this, there are some people who would be very keen to know!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
